And go Asian! Enjoy unique, delicious HH concoctions at Departure, Kin, Seres, Shigezo, Silk, and Sinju.
And if you too, love "boat drinks": Hale Pele! Plus Andina, Island Cafe, Oba, and Tapalaya.
Restaurants with huge menus work well, as there are so many alternatives and it's great to have an array of choices. Enjoy salads and grilled ahi, steak bites and skewers. Asian
in the Pearl) and Mexican
foods are good choices in general. Always ask about preparation if you need to really stick to the GF thing, as there are many screw-ups out there.
Restaurants are at least paying more attention now. Mama Mia's
has a good gluten free pasta (yay!!!), and will make any dish with it when requested. (Dinner, not Happy Hour). Thirst
claims 90% of menu is or can be made gluten free. My favorite buns ever are at Fogo de Chao
(and they have phenomenal steak bites there as well). Deschutes
has a gluten-free beer, God bless 'em, and our cider scene is going crazy!
Bye & Bye
